SOTA Recap

The 12th Annual Summer of the Arts Exhibition opened again for the entire month of July. We are thrilled that there are so many talented individuals from our Pathway Homes resident community who have discovered new pathways to improving their mental wellness by exploring art!

Exhibition

The public was invited to view displayed artwork throughout the entire month of July at the Fairfax County Government Center. At the reception on July 16, many of the artists were on site to meet guests as they examined paintings and craft items. Residents who created the artwork receive 100% of the proceeds from art sales.

In Memorium

The Summer of the Arts exhibition honors Karen Free, a longtime resident of Pathway Homes and accomplished artist who passed away in 2011. To honor Karen’s memory, the Free family gifted Pathway Homes with the Karen Free Arts and Recreation Recovery Fund to provide opportunities for other residents to explore artistic pursuits that would support their own recovery journeys.
