The Pathway Homes employee family includes more than 100 members. Most staff members are a part of the clinical team, providing direct client services or supervision. Other employees include accountants, housekeepers, food services workers, maintenance technicians, and office or professional support. Pathways also benefits from the involvement of volunteers. The following positions were available as of January 26, 2010:

Registered Nurse

A full time Registered Nurse position is available. This position is responsible for medication oversight. Also, working in collaboration with a nurse practioner, this position provides ongoing medical assessments and case management in an assisted living facility.

Position requires a license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.

Salary in the low-50's with excellent benefits.

Mental Health Counselor II

These are full time clinical positions providing case management and intensive support services for consumers in our community-based programs. We are seeking creative, recovery-oriented individuals with a Masters degree in a related field and a minimum of one year experience in case management, mental health, or residential services. Consumers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary starts at $17.15 per hour with excellent benefits.

Mental Health Counselor I -- Awake Overnight

A full time position is immediately available at a residential facility for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This position requires extended weekend overnight shift work. Bachelor's degree required in psychology, social work or related field.

Salary starts at $14.56 per hour with excellent benefits.

Mental Health Counselor I

A full time (30 hours a week) position is immediately available providing mental health support services in residential settings for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This position may require extended weekend overnight shift work. Bachelor's degree required in psychology, social work or related field.

Certified Nurse Assistant -- Awake Overnight

A full time overnight Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is available immediately. CNAs are responsible for assisting residents with severe and persistent mental illness in personal, nutritional and restorative care. Also, CNAs are responsible for assisting Mental Health Counselors in teaching and promoting independence in residents' activities of daily living.

Position requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, a completed Virginia approved Certified Nurse Aid Training program with current Virginia Nurse Aide Certification and a high degree of empathy toward persons with mental illness. Preferred requirements are a minimum of one year of experience providing direct care services and experience in work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

Salary starts at $13.52 with excellent benefits.

Relief Counselors

There are on-going openings for Relief Counselor (PRN) positions. These positions require a BA in psychology, social work, or a related field. Some experience working with the seriously mentally ill in a residential setting is required. These positions are responsible for providing shift coverage on an as needed basis in Pathways' 24-hour supervised housing facilities.
