For three days in September, Pathway Homes hosted two surveyors from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This marks the fourth time that Pathways has completed this survey process and this time it resulted in No Recommendations. A “No Recommendation” finding from CARF is rare and a true compliment to the quality work each staff person at Pathways does every day!
Administrative surveyor Jeff Bergbauer and program surveyor Karen Rever traveled from Hawaii and Maryland respectively. Together they reviewed Pathways’ business practices, community housing and supported living programs, applying over 1,000 business and service delivery standards during the review. Both expressed admiration for the quality of Pathways’ processes and programs, the commitment of staff, and the overall satisfaction of the individuals served. Pathways President & CEO, Dr. Sylisa Lambert-Woodard added, “This process has given our agency the opportunity to grow in our commitment to excellence through ongoing self-evaluation. The collaborative approach of the CARF surveyors helped us engage in this continuous quality improvement process and we benefit greatly from it every time!”
CARF is a subsidiary of CARF International, an independent, not-for-profit family of organizations that provides accreditation in the field of human services. The mission of CARF is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through accreditation that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons receiving services. In short, CARF's purpose is to improve the quality of services that enhance the lives of the persons receiving services.
Thank you to all our staff for consistently doing quality work and to the individuals we serve who trust us to provide quality housing and services to them as they engage in their individual recovery journey.
